Come on out and support our area dance talent at the Leander High School Blue Belles 20th Annual Winter Dance Classic. A solo/duet and team competition. This Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, 2018.

Competition Hours:

  •  Friday: 4:30-11 pm
  • Saturday: 8:30 am - 10 pm

Admission:

  • Friday $5.00
  • Saturday $10.00

About the Competition:

The Blue Belles at Leander High School are proud to host their 20th annual dance competition to be held at one of the finest facilities in the state. With our video and audio critiques and friendly, efficient staff, this is one contest you won’t want to miss!

Studios, Elementary Schools, Middle Schools and High Schools are all welcome!

Back by popular demand, this year’s competition will include the following:
• Solos will be categorized by individual grade level and the top five in each age group will receive a prestigious Winter Dance Classic award.
• Individual High Kick Competition will be held during the awards ceremony.

All team and solo entries must be received by January 12th, 2018.

Music must be emailed to lbbwdcmusic@gmail.com by January 12th. Each music submission must include the music as an attachment and the following information in the email:
• Name of dancer(s) or group
• Category of dance (solo, small ensemble, team jazz, etc.)
• Organization or studio
• Name of song

* Dance Team Champion (overall high point winner from 3 routines)
* Solos may be scheduled as early as 4:30pm, Friday, January 26th, 2018 or may be scheduled on Saturday, January 27th, 2018.
* If a soloist competes in two or more solos and places in more than one, he/she will only be allowed to final with the higher scoring solo.
* Competition Category is determined by the grade level of the oldest member.

Miss High Kick - click here to learn the routine

We are hosting a Miss High Kick competition in the main gym. We will have a Middle School Miss High Kick and a High School Miss High Kick competition. Registration for Miss High Kick will be at the school at the information table for $10. The competition will take place before the final awards ceremony. All contestants will be judged on technique, kick height, posture, and showmanship. This is an individual event and does not have any bearing on overall team results.
