Head Director, Mrs. aSHLEY A. Williams

Mrs. Ashley Williams graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas State University. While at Texas State, she majored in math education and was a 4-year member of the World Famous Texas State Strutters Dance Team. She was a Senior Lieutenant for the team for two years and was selected for the Pom Squad each year and the Jazz Elite Performance Squad each year. She was awarded the Oak Farms Dairy Athletic Academic Achievement Award and was a member of the Education Honors Sorority- Kappa Delta Pi. In her final year at Texas State, she was nominated Student Teacher of the Year for Texas State University and received the O.C. Haley Scholarship.

Before Texas State University, Coach Williams attended and graduated from Vista Ridge High School with honors where she was a 4-year member of the Star Steppers Varsity Dance Team. She attended Leander Middle School before that and was a Tigerettes Lieutenant her 8th grade year. Coach William's dance training began at a very young age when she attended Leander HS Blue Belle clinics and fell in love with the art!

Coach Williams has performed on the Mariner of the Seas Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship, numerous San Antonio Spurs Basketball halftime shows, and throughout the United States. Coach Williams is a member of the Texas Dance Teacher's Association, National Dance Coach Association, and the National Dance Educators Organization. She is also a Staff Member for ShowMakers of America where she travels to teach middle school and high school dance teams all over Texas, in addition to running dance competitions throughout the state.

Coach Williams is an educator for the International Baccalaureate Programme at Leander High School where she also teaches dance classes. She is Google Certified and is a Highly Qualified mathematics educator for the state of Texas. Coach Williams continues to train with well-known choreographers and strives to bring new innovations to the dance world.


Assistant Director, Ms. Gabriela Garcia

Ms. Garcia graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in education. During her time at Texas Tech, Ms. Garcia was a part of the dance program where she performed in yearly productions of DanceTech and Fall Dance Festival. She was also able to choreograph for Fall Dance Festival her junior year. In addition, Ms. Garcia was a 4-year member of Chi Tau Epsilon Honor Society, a service-based organization within the Texas Tech dance program, where she served as Secretary, Vice President, and President throughout the years. 

Prior to her attendance at Texas Tech University, Ms. Garcia attended Smithson Valley High School where she was a member of the Silver Spur Dance Team. As a Silver Spur, Ms. Garcia was a member of the Elite Team and served as Senior Lieutenant her senior year. Being an officer on her high school dance team gave her the passion to pursue dance education and a career in high school dance directing.

Ms. Garcia is engaged to her fiance, Sam, and they will be getting married this coming December!
